Winter arrived in the Ozarks yesterday. During the night, the rain turned to sleet and finally it began to snow.

When I awoke, the trees were shimmering in the morning sunlight. The pictures do not begin to capture their sparkling beauty. They looked like they were covered in diamonds.

Icicles hung from the deck's rails, but the sun's warmth today will surely melt this breathtakingly beautiful scene.
